Correspondence, booklets, reports, and lists pertaining to organization and work of Red Cross branches in Nassau County, N.Y.; much of the correspondence is to Mrs. Oliver Allen Campbell concerning collection of cloths, soliciting funds, workroom reports, requests for knitted articles, use of public health nurse in the East Norwich area, and other activities; and minute book with accounts of the East Norwich Auxiliary of the Brookville Branch, 1917-1918. Collection also includes announcement of a meeting of the Women Voters' Anti-Suffrage Party, 1919, and list of men who voted no on the Federal Suffrage Amendment.

On December 2, 1905, Mrs. Tunis G. Bergen brought together a group of Brooklyn residents at the Barnard Club House on Remsen Street to form New York City's first borough-based Red Cross organization.
